Pet Friendly

woof/MEOW!

We’re animal lovers here at Kingfisher Lodging. Prepare for a well-deserved Cape Cod vacation with your four-legged friend.

Pet Policy

Kingfisher Lodging welcomes both cats and dogs for the following fees:

  • $25/pet/night in our standard room
  • $50/pet/night in our 3 bedroom suite

There is a grassy area for pet relief and a fenced-in dog run on-site. Complimentary food and water bowls are available. If you wish to take advantage of a pet daycare or boarding service while you are out exploring, see our recommendations below.

Dogs Parks

Kingfisher Lodging Dog Run
Steps from your room and within sight of the pool, you will find a safe, fenced in area for your pooch to get some energy out.

Brewster Dog Park
It’s Disney for your dog! Just 15 minutes away, this dedicated park allows off-leash socializing in 2 sections – one for small dogs and one for large.

Yarmouth Dog Park
An 11 minute drive brings you to Sandy Pond Recreation Area, home to a 3 section dog park. One is for small dogs, one is mixed use, and one is for shy dogs, which is great if your furry friend is less social.

Fresh Pond Dog Park
We are 10 minutes away from this Dennis dog park, with 2 fenced in areas for off-leash fun. The nearby pond and walking trails are also dog friendly for leashed canines.

The Great Outdoors

Cape Cod Rail Trail
The 25 miles of bike trail that runs from Yarmouth to Wellfleet also welcomes leashed dogs. It can get busy in the summer, so keep a short leash and stay alert for cyclists.

Indian Lands Conservation Area
These extensive trails are next to the Rail Trail in Dennis and just 7 minutes from the lodge. The hike takes you from sandy trails to shady woods, and on to scenic views of Bass River.

Bell’s Neck Conservation Area
This expansive network of trails in Harwich is also a haven for bird watchers. This nature lover’s paradise includes woods, marsh, and the Herring River.

National Seashore
Leashed dogs are welcome in parts of the National Seashore. It’s best to plan ahead by checking the link above for which sections are open for your itinerary.

Dog-Friendly Businesses

Jack’s Outback Restaurant
Breakfast with your best bud, what could be better? Just 5 minutes away, Jack’s serves up creative homemade breakfast right in Yarmouth Port. Dogs are welcome in their outdoor section.

Sesuit Harbor Cafe
Consistently voted the best lobster roll on Cape Cod, Sesuit Harbor Cafe is a casual outdoor clam shack with wonderful views and even better food.

La Tacodilla
Tacos make people happy. Treats and outdoor tables make dogs happy. Bring your pup to this Mexican street food concept, featuring So/Cal style “Tacos Dorados”. Halfway between a quesadilla and a taco, this unique spin on a classic has to be tried.

The Dog House
Aptly named, your four legged friend will be happy at this Dennis Port hot dog stand, known for its crazy flavor combinations and fun atmosphere.

Devil’s Purse Brewing Company
You’ll find great beers and people (and dogs) at this South Dennis microbrewery. You can’t beat sipping a Handline Kölsch on a sunny afternoon.

Cape Cod Beer
Dogs are welcome in all parts of this brewery, except the tasting room during food service. Check their website or social media for upcoming dog-themed events, like their frequent “Yappy Hours”.
