Nearby Attractions

Our hotel is close to the famous bayside beaches of Dennis, as well as some great restaurants, shops, wedding venues, and fun attractions.

Dennis Beaches

Please note, dogs are not allowed on Dennis beaches during the high season. See our Cape Cod pet vacation guide for pet-friendly ideas.

Mayflower Beach
A Cape Cod classic! When the tide goes out, there is miles of beach to explore. A permanent snack bar and restroom facilities are open in season.

Chapin Memorial Beach
While not as sandy as other bayside beaches, Chapin is much more secluded and quiet.

Corporation Beach
This sandy crescent shaped beach is the place to go for sunset lovers, with expansive views of Cape Cod Bay. It also includes an area protected by a jetty, making it great for families. Facilities include a snack bar, playground, and restrooms.

West Dennis Beach
Set on the warmer waters of Nantucket Sound, this beach boasts two miles of parking lot right next to the ocean. Just park and unload. Easy!

Princess Beach
Do you prefer the lake life? These warm, calm waters are perfect for the little ones. Permanent restrooms and a small playground are also available.

Breakfast

The Merc
Casual grab and go spot in Dennis Village for coffee and more. We love the breakfast burrito.

Lighthouse Keepers Pantry
This welcoming Yarmouth Port cafe has excellent coffee and gourmet breakfast sandwiches, each one incorporating their homemade jams, jellies and condiments (all available for purchase).

Grumpy’s
Don’t let the line at Grumpy’s fool you, it moves quickly, and there’s a reason why it’s popular. It’s the best sit-down breakfast on the north side of Dennis!

Red Cottage
Another in-demand breakfast place, and with good reason. Creative and delicious homemade dishes are served up in an old school diner atmosphere. Guaranteed to keep you going well past lunch.

Eats

Captain Frosty’s
Craveable fried seafood, lobster rolls, and more, all within walking distance of Kingfisher Lodging. Don’t leave without trying their famous clam cakes.

Fin
As the name suggests, this is the place to go for high-end and authentic New England seafood. A great choice for a special occasion.

Dennis Public Market
Situated on the way to the beach, DPM is a family owned grocery store with a deli that builds the perfect beach sandwich. It gets busy so call ahead for pick up to avoid the wait.

Scargo Cafe
A local favorite due to its consistent quality of food and service, Scargo is that rare restaurant that feels both upscale and casual all at the same time.

Inaho
Outstanding sushi restaurant in Yarmouth Port offering up both traditional and modern takes on classic Japanese cuisine.

Drinks & Entertainment

Harvest Gallery
Wine, art, cocktails, live music. Need we say more?

Oliver’s & Planck’s Tavern
Just down the street from Kingfisher Lodging, Oliver’s is a happenin’ spot with a large bar and live music most weekends.

Sea Dog Brew Pub
Enjoy a craft beer, see a live band, or even play some trivia in this South Yarmouth local favorite.

O’Shea’s Olde Inn
A quick trek over to West Dennis is worth it if you’re a fan of live music. With entertainment almost every night, this authentic Irish pub serves up bluegrass, folk, Irish trad, and a mean Guinness.

The Music Room
This is the place to see world-class artists in an incredibly intimate setting. From touring musicians to top level tribute bands, everyone has a front row seat at this West Yarmouth concert venue.

Sweet Tooth

Ice Cream Smuggler
Hand churned ice cream and ice cream pies in Dennis. Come try the sundae that Food Network’s Ming Tsai said was “The Best Thing I Ever Ate”.

The Underground Bakery
Cannolis, cupcakes, scones, cookies, cheesecakes… homemade Whoopie Pies! A sweet tooth’s delight.

Cape Cod Creamery
An after-beach favorite. Enjoy fun Cape Cod themed flavors like Sandy Neck Snickers and Nauset Peach.

Things To Do

Grey’s Beach Board Walk
This 1/4 mile boardwalk extends over the marsh in Yarmouth Port and into Cape Cod Bay. Sunsets here are always a highlight.

Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises
No trip to Cape Cod is complete without a whale watch. This boat is located nearby in Barnstable, meaning you spend less time in traffic, and more time cruising across Cape Cod Bay to see the whales.

Scargo Tower
Set on the highest hill in Dennis, exquisite views of Cape Cod Bay abound from the top of this 30 foot tower. On clear days you can see Provincetown!

The Cape Playhouse
Enjoying a show at America’s oldest professional summer theater is as much about the performance as it is about the history. A Cape Cod institution.
